The Gunners still have a lot of work to do to make a move for Manchester City’s Alexis Sanchez, according to talkSPORT.
The Gunners have been linked with the Spain international for some time, with the Catalan newspaper claiming they are “still a little short” in their squad to make the move happen.
Arsenal are believed to be close to agreeing a deal for the 23-year-old, who scored a sensational goal in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Manchester City to secure a top-four finish.
However, Arsenal have yet to confirm the transfer, and the Daily Mirror’s reports on Sunday suggest that the Gunners may be reluctant to let the Catalans go.
“It’s difficult to comment about Alexis Sanchez as it’s a matter for the club,” a club spokesperson told the Mirror.
“We are yet to hear anything from the club, but we have spoken to the player’s agent, who has said the player is keen on joining us.”
This is the time of the year where the transfer window opens and we need to be proactive.
We have to make sure we do our due diligence and that we keep an eye on what is available.
