By 2020, the world will need at least a half-million additional scientists, engineers and technologists to tackle the climate crisis.
That’s according to the head of a new organisation called the Global Climate Action Network, which aims to help bring about the needed changes.
In the meantime, we are in the midst of a crisis, said Michael Eadie, chief executive of the new network.
“It’s happening now, and the future is dark,” Eadge told the Guardian.
“We are heading into an era of very rapid climate change.”
Eadie says the network is already well on its way to meeting its ambitious goals.
Its mission is to provide tools to help people make better decisions about how to protect themselves, their families and the planet.
It’s part of an ambitious initiative launched in 2014 by a coalition of NGOs, foundations and governments to help countries make the right choices about the environment and how to tackle climate change.
It also aims to give the global community a clear idea of what to do about global warming.
Its aim is to give countries a clear picture of the climate impacts that will occur if they do nothing, and what actions to take to prevent those impacts.
Eadge and his network are aiming to build on what they’ve already done.
Etched on a wall of the network’s offices is a picture of a man wearing a jacket and a hat, standing on the threshold of a rising sea.
In the background is a sign saying “Green Earth” in green.
A banner on the wall says the GlobalClimateActionNetwork.org, which is headed by Eadies partner David Fennell.
Eadis is also involved in a separate group called the Climate Action Coalition, which will also work with EadIE to help shape the group’s approach.
The global climate action network, which Eadieu founded in 2015, is based in New York.
It works to develop and share best practice for climate action and advocacy.
Easily accessible, well-organised and diverse, its mission is “to help people get to grips with the issues of climate change, and make the decisions needed to save our planet and our people,” Eads told the newspaper.
The organisation has attracted some big names.
The United Nations climate change envoy for the next 10 years, Christiana Figueres, is on its board.
Eads’ group also includes a host of other experts and experts in climate change from government, industry, academia and civil society.
The group has more than 700 members across the world.
Its annual conference is hosted by Eads and his team, and it has helped shape the work of other climate action organisations such as the Global Change Institute and the Global Food and Agriculture Organisation.
In 2016, the group published its first global climate report.
Its findings included a report that showed that, by 2030, there will be an expected increase in sea level of 10 centimeters (4 inches).
The report was then released to the public and featured a map showing how the world’s coastlines are already shifting and could be shifting in the next 100 years.
The new organisation has also been active in other climate issues, including fighting climate change in Africa, and in developing countries.
In February, the organisation released a report calling for a ban on coal-fired power plants in South Africa.EADS is also planning a report for the coming year that looks at the role that renewables and other clean energy sources can play in addressing climate change and energy security.
“As technology and infrastructure develop, it will become increasingly important for the private sector to build its own renewable power generation capacity,” the report said.
“A shift to renewables is a key part of achieving this goal.”
But the report has received mixed reviews.
In one report, the International Energy Agency called it a “potentially significant contribution” to the fight against climate change but said it was “inadequate and incomplete”.
It said EADS had done more than its share in its climate report, but that its research and development efforts were “not in line with international standards”.
The IEA’s assessment said the report “does not provide sufficient detail on the impact of renewable energy on climate change”.
“We have raised concerns about the need to increase the investment and deployment of renewable resources in Africa and the need for greater investment in the continent,” the agency said.
EADS said it has met all the criteria for a green energy certification.
The Green Alliance, an alliance of private and government leaders, has also called for an “action plan” to address climate change that would include renewable energy, energy efficiency, conservation and the deployment of low-carbon sources of power.EADIES new organisation will not be taking up the fight to combat climate change until 2030.
The organisation is set to launch its report in the summer of 2021.
