In the digital graphic arts field, Japan is known for its digital graphic designers, the people who create, modify and distribute digital products.
Digital graphic designers in Japan have become something of a global phenomenon with their work being used in the likes of Apple’s iPhone 5S and Microsoft’s Xbox One, and even a series of video games.
There’s no denying that Japanese digital designers are highly regarded and widely sought after, as well as being a well-respected part of the Japanese gaming industry.
It’s not all good news for digital graphic artists though, as the Japanese government has recently made it harder for digital designers to enter the country.
The new rules mean that digital graphic designs must have a Japanese license and be accompanied by an accompanying translation.
This means that digital designers with more than 200,000 yen (US$230) in their pocket are no longer eligible to work in Japan, which means that if you’re a Japanese graphic designer, it’s a good idea to start thinking of your next big project with an eye towards getting the best possible job.
