It’s a word that describes a design that’s as simple as a sketch, but complex enough to make it instantly recognizable.
That’s exactly what this creative design team at the Sydney Art Gallery did.
They created an entire series of comics, called The Glamour of Comics, which uses graphic design to talk about the power of creativity and the importance of communication.
The book was published by The Art Gallery of NSW in December 2016.
A few months later, a few hundred people visited The Art Galleries website to see what the artists had created.
“There’s something very cool about being able to go to the Sydney Gallery and get a little bit of a sense of where we came from and what our background was and what we think of ourselves,” creative director Michael Clements said.
