TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – May 20, 2017) – The Graphic Designers’ Guild of Canada announced today that its members will soon be joining the CBC News graphic design team.
Guild member and CEO, Joe Vennaro, said, “The graphic design profession has changed drastically over the last 15 years, and it’s the only job we know how to do.
We are excited to join the CBC team and to join CBC as they are the most-respected and trusted media brand in the world.”
The graphic designer’s guild has about 200 members, and has been actively working on new initiatives since its founding in 2008.
It now employs about 1,000 graphic designers in Toronto.
Vennaro said, the guild will focus on graphic design for CBC News and the CBC website.
The Guild also will help to run CBC’s social media pages, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, as well as CBC Toronto.
In addition to being a member of the CBC, the graphic designers guild will work with the CBC and other media organizations to ensure the integrity of their work.
The Guild has an ongoing work on the new CBC News website.
