Google is betting on a new class of graphic designers, who are being trained to design digital-design-driven applications.
Its the future of digital design, and this class of designers will use their skills to create products that users can use in ways that are less intimidating to users.
The course will take up to eight months, and will be offered in the spring of 2018.
It will be called Graphic Design for Beginners.
The course is offered as part of Google’s Digital Graphic Design Academy, a program launched last year by Google that will train hundreds of thousands of developers in design, graphics, and animation, and create more than 1,000 digital products.
The first two classes are expected to be offered by June 2018.
Google is aiming to train up to 1,400 designers over the next two years.
Google, whose parent company is Alphabet, has also begun work on a similar program for graphic design.
Google said its digital-art program will be similar to the one it ran in 2015, the Digital Graphic Arts Academy.
But it is different in that it will train designers to create applications that users will be able to use in the future.
“We think this is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the craft of graphic design,” said Jason C. Scharf, the company’s chief design officer.
Google is using the term “digital art” to describe the creative process behind its digital products, such as Google Photos, Google Maps, and Gmail.
Google says it wants to make the digital products better for users.
“If you think about the best digital design tool that people can create is a website, then we want to provide that tool,” said Google senior vice president of design Alex Pareene.
In the course, designers will design products that include a logo, a visual language, and a user interface that people use on the web, the Wall Street Business Journal reported.
The students will also learn how to draw graphics, paint, and print digital designs.
The students will be asked to create prototypes that they can then share with other students.
Students will be expected to create their own digital designs, and have them tested by Google employees before they are put to use by users.
They will also be able use the design to make digital products for use in their businesses.
“The goal is to give students the skills they need to make great products in the digital world,” Scharf said.
“They will be given a toolset to design, develop, and deliver products.”
The course is part of a larger initiative by Google to train students and give them access to its services, including Gmail, Google Voice, and YouTube.
The company also is making an effort to make it easier for students to earn Google credits and earn Google credit for projects they create on their own.
